Scarecrow building

Calling all Girl Scouts!

Come to our 6th Annual Scarecrow Building Event

To be held at 75 Springhill Rd, Oldbridge (off Rt. 34/Cotrell Rd)

We will be happy to supply each troop: one frame on which to build your scarecrow, straw to stuff it with, carnival type games to play and enjoy, a pumpkin for each child (fee $4.50, must be paid in advance to insure enough for all) and a participation patch for each Girl Scout.

You need you to bring, your troop with their good attitudes, supplies to dress your scarecrow (ie-shirt, pants, gloves, wig etc… scissors, hammer, tacks or nails, to attach the scarecrow to the wooden frame) snacks/drinks if you like.

Please feel free to bring a donation for the Oldbridge Food Bank or Oldbridge Animal Shelter. We accept these donations at both Scarecrow building and the Haunted Woods.

All scarecrows will be displayed in our “Haunted Woods”. So please plan to bring to family to the Haunted Woods (last 2 weekends in October) to view all the scarecrows and enjoy getting frightened.

We will have the following sessions:

Sat 10/3 == 1:00pm – 2:30pm or 3:00pm – 4:30pm
Sun 10/4 == 1:00pm – 2:30pm or 3:00pm – 4:30pm
Sat 10/10 == 1:00pm – 2:30pm or 3:00pm – 4:30pm
Rain date == 10/11 (time TBD)
* rain date will only be used if we need to cancel due to heavy rain. Light rain will NOT postpone the event.

There will be NO refunds unless the event is cancelled.
